David Barger, CEO for Jet Blue airlines, recently told NPR's Jeremy Hobson that, of all the destinations JetBlue flies to, Burlington, VT is his favorite. When asked why, he said "You feel you're really back to nature in a major way. It's great quality of life in Burlington, Vt." I couldn't agree more! It's good national recognition for Burlington, and a reminder to those of us that live here that we are truly lucky to live, work and play in this spectacular location. I like to say we have a great lake in our front yard and great Mountains in our backyard. In between, where we live, we have world class culture: Flynn Performing Arts Center, top quality health care at Fletcher Allen (FAHC), and educational institutions that are ranked nationally (UVM). All this within an hour's flight to major metropolitan cities.
