Early 2022 Market Report: Trends to Watch

While real estate headlines throughout the year focused on the low inventory - a better way to look at it is record-breaking demand. More single-family homes sold throughout northwest Vermont in 2021, while inventory remained flat throughout the year. The National Association of REALTORS is also reporting existing home sales
were the highest in 15 years!

Often Vermont has lagged behind national housing trends, but that wasn't the case in 2021. The real estate market in northwest Vermont aligned with what other parts of the country were experiencing: home appreciation, tight inventory relative to buyer demand, and a fast-moving market.
